Ava Maghsoodlou is a product designer who is studying Industrial Design with a concentration in Nature, Culture, and Sustainability studies at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she’s fascinated by human-centered design, systems thinking, future forecasting, regenerative design, and the ethical concerns of our rapidly evolving digital landscape. She's passionate about designing with—rather than for—underrepresented groups in order to make the world a more just and inclusive place.
Her creative practice spans across physical mixed media artwork, video installation, and post-production. With her fine art, she investigates themes of vulnerability, interpersonal connection, and naturally recurring motifs through drawing, painting, and collage.

When she isn’t experimenting with biomaterials or prototyping in Figma, you can find her outdoors cataloguing different types of slugs and hiking along the California coast.
